Tiwai could lead way in new-deal aluminium

Tiwai Point aluminium smelter at Bluff


THE OWNER of New Zealandís only aluminium smelter says the country could have a bright future producing low-emissions aluminium for a carbon-constrained world.

The Tiwai Point smelter is owned by Rio Tinto and the Sumitomo Chemical Company and operated by New Zealand Aluminium Smelters.
