Ten years ago, forest owners were calling for certainty over carbon pricing amid calls to replace the Emissions Trading Scheme with a carbon tax.

The scheme came into force in 2008 but a change of government saw it almost immediately under review.

But the Forests Owners’ Association said that if the Government really wanted forest planting to start again, it should ignore calls from Business New Zealand and others to abandon the scheme. | Read the story here
