SHAW: We're not stuck on 2030 methane target

The main focus of the climate commission’s work on methane will be on the 2050 target


THE GOVERNMENT'S target of cutting methane emissions by 10 per cent by 2030 is not set in stone, the climate minister says.

The target has been criticised on both sides, with Federated Farmers calling it “frustratingly cruel” and scientists saying it’s not consistent with holding warming to 1.5deg.
