AI to monitor deforestation

Recently harvested forestry blocks will be checked using AI.

ARTIFICIAL intelligence is being used to measure forest – and carbon – loss in New Zealand.

A consortium led by Wellington technology start-up company Lynker Analytics has been contracted by the Ministry for the Environment to map and measure deforestation in 2017 and 2018.
