2020 one of the hottest on record

Droughts have plagues Northland in recent years.


THIS YEAR is on track to be one of New Zealand’s hottest on record, meaning five of the 10 warmest years have occurred since 2013, scientists say.

The warning comes as the World Meteorological Organisation says that 2020 is likely to be one of the warmest three the world has ever recorded, with global temperatures 1.2deg above pre-industrial levels.
