New map will help you navigate the ETS world

The long and sometimes rocky road to the development of an emissions trading market has been mapped.

Motu Research has come up with an interactive timeline, tracing developments from January 2005, when the European Emissions Trading Scheme pilot was launched, to December 2015, when New Zealand announced it had met its Kyoto target for 2008 to 2012 with a surplus of 123.7 megatonnes of units.
