KiwiRail sees exciting future for hydrogen trains

KiwiRail says the Productivity Commission is wrong about the future of trains


Hydrogen-powered trains could play a big part in cutting New Zealandís greenhouse gas emissions, KiwiRail says.

The State-owned rail operator says the potential impact of technological developments like hydrogen fuel is just one of the factors being under-estimated in a report on decarbonising the economy.
