Climate watchdog calls on NZ to show the way

NEW ZEALAND is on a list of countries being called on to cut emissions as an example to the world.

The country’s current 2030 target, to reduce emissions by 11 per cent on 1990 levels, is consistent with global warming of 3deg – well above the Paris Agreement target of holding warming to 1.5deg.
