Funding for Pacific Islands to help manage tuna threatened by climate change

The New Zealand government is stumping up a $25 million grant to help 14 Pacific Island nations manage one third of the world's tuna in the face of the climate crisis.
The funding goes towards a programme valued at US$156.8 M – comprising a US$107M Green Climate Fund grant and US$49.3M in co-finance – to help Pacific Island countries manage risks caused by the redistribution of tuna stocks due to climate change and contribute to food security.
